Steve joined the industry in 1987 as a Financial Adviser with Abbey Life. In 1989 he won the National Award ‘Adviser with under two years’ experience’ and became a branch manager with ‘Manchester Central’ in 1990. He went on to become Branch Manager of Chester, looking after 55 advisers and a total annual income of approximately £1.5 million.
In 2005, Steve set up his own practice and bought an IFA in Preston. Since then, he has offered financial advice to a broad spectrum of clients and endeavours to offer positive value for money service.
Steve’s hobbies include Rugby and fishing. He tries to visit the Shetland Isles as much as possible and can often be found fishing for cod, pollock, monkfish and turbot. Steve has also coached England Rugby under 16’s at Wellington School. His son, Richard, is a West End actor and has performed in Mamma Mia, Mrs Henderson presents and Wicked, while his daughter, Emily, has recently finished her 3rd Year in university.
Steve’s philosophy is to provide a friendly, professional value for money service. He believes that trust is a major factor in financial services and that his services are bought and not sold.
